We all want whiter teeth. And if you’re like me, you probably drink a little too much coffee and tea, and enjoy a nice glass of wine occasionally. These little indulgences may not seem like a big deal, but they end up staining your teeth over time – great, right? Coffee stains are notoriously stubborn to get out without professional whitening. But Philips may have cracked the code to polishing away these unsightly stains with the HX6732/45 brush. And you can expect results in just two weeks.
I have sensitive teeth, so whitening is off the table for me. That’s why I was so excited to try this brush. Could I really see whiter teeth in just two weeks?
Before I get to my review, I want to share what I liked and didn’t like about the HX6732/45.
- Dynamic sonic action in between the teeth and along the gum line to remove more plaque than a manual brush.
- Clinically proven to whiten your teeth in just two weeks.
- Safe for use on braces, dental restorations and periodontal pockets.
- Three cleaning modes to accommodate all users.
- Two minute timer ensures that you brush your teeth for the dentist recommended amount of time.
- Reminder bristles let you know when it’s time to replace the brush head.
- Only comes with a 2-pin plug
My only pet peeve with this brush is that it came with just a 2-pin plug. If you want to plug your brush into a standard UK socket, you’ll need to buy an adapter. And if you travel with it, you’ll also need an adapter as many other countries do not have shaver sockets.
My Philips HX6732/45 Review
Philips Sonicare brushes are some of the best on the market, but I was still little skeptical about this model being able to whiten my teeth. I’ve been a coffee and tea drinker for years, and I wasn’t expecting a brush to be able to remove the stains, let alone in just two weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that after consistant use, my teeth looked several shades whiter.
Even if the whitening action wasn’t effective, this brush does a great job of cleaning your teeth.
The Sonicare dynamic action drives fluid in between teeth and along the gum line to remove more plaque than a typical toothbrush.
The HX6732/45 also comes with three cleaning modes:
- Clean and white
The Sensitive cleaning mode is extra-gentle, but it still managed to polish away the few stains I had on my teeth. The clean and white is a little more aggressive, but still tolerable for someone with sensitive teeth. The simple clean mode is great, too, and is ideal for everyday use.
One other great feature that the HX6732/45 offers: a quadpacer interval timer. The two minute timer ensures that you brush your teeth for the dentist-recommended amount of time, but the interval timer function lets you know when you’ve brushed each quadrant of your mouth for 30 seconds.
It’s great to know that you’re getting the best cleaning possible when you use this timer. And I can’t recall a time when my teeth felt cleaner.
